Title: Director of Business Development, Asia
Department: Minerals Processing
Position Summary:
Provide business development, marketing, sales and technical support for customers in Asia, in coordination with CiDRA corporate office in USA and regional independent sales representatives. The initial market penetration will be in China.
Experience:
Candidate should have five years of product/services business development and marketing experience. Experience working in a process industry, particularly with flow meters and/or in the mining industry in China is highly desirable.
Education/Skills:
- Associates Degree (electrical or mechanical) from a technical school required. Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Candidate must be bilingual (English – Chinese).
- Must have excellent verbal and written skills in Chinese, good skills in English.
- Must be proficient with a computer and software such as Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to explain technical issues regarding CiDRA products to an audience of varied degree of understanding regarding SONARtrac products.
- Requires strong analytical and problem solving skills. Broad knowledge of fluid mechanics and flow measurement principles is desirable.
- Must have he ability to work in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the product and services market for the CiDRA product line in China. This is to be done in close coordination with CiDRA headquarters and local independent sales reps.
- Marketing, sales, and installation/service activities for customers primarily in the mining industry.
- Attend regional trade shows to exhibit CiDRA products.
- Set and achieve sales goals in coordination with CiDRA and reps.
- Maintain technical expertise in assigned areas of specialty. (e.g. mining, oil sands & extraction processes).
- Develop in-depth knowledge of local industries.
- Maintain higher-level expertise for CiDRA products and their application in the markets/industries that we serve.
- Provide periodic written marketing, sales and service reports.
- Achieve prompt, mutually satisfactory solutions to customer complaints and problems.
- Individual must be a self-starter with ability to plan, organize and execute.
- Individual must posses excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Individual must be able to travel 50% to 75% of the time.
- Primary travel will be in China, with some travel to Australia.
