Title:  Legal Secretary – Part Time 

Department:  Legal Department

Position Summary: 

This individual will report to the VP, General Counsel and assist various members of the Senior Team.  Will assist with the preparation of legal documents, maintain files, maintain database regarding corporate Intellectual Property assets, and general administrative support.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years

Education/Skills: 

  • Solid legal background
  • Strong computer skills to include Excel, Word (merge documents), ability to work with Access Databases
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must posses excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Advanced administrative support skills
  • Must use a high degree of confidentiality and discretion
  • Must have a positive “can-do” attitude

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of corporate agreements
  • Create and update spreadsheets
  • Assist with paperwork associated with the preparation and filing of U.S. and foreign patent and TM applications
  • Maintain calendars and appointments
  • Maintenance of certain legal Databases
  • Docketing of actions due
  • Telephone/Letters
  • Perform general administrative duties as required
